According to a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Elder Goodluck Chinedu Ubochi, the training is designed to enhance the teaching capacity and professional development of teachers recently deployed to schools under the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) and the Secondary Education Management Board (SEMB).
The schedule released by the ministry indicates that teachers deployed to ASUBEB Primary Schools will undergo training from August 25th to 30th, 2025, while those assigned to ASUBEB Junior and SEMB Senior Secondary Schools will be trained from September 1st to 6th, 2025.
Two centres have been designated for the exercise:
ABA CENTRE: Abayi Girls Secondary School, Umuocham, Aba
UMUAHIA CENTRE: Federal Government Girls Secondary School, Umuahia
The ministry further directed all participants to visit the official training portal to select their preferred training centre and download their admit card ahead of the exercise.
