Before Otti, Aba Was Like A Glorified Village Says OAU.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Onyekwere Akym Uche Foundation  (OAUF), Onyekwere Akym Uche has stated that prior to Governor Otti's coming, Aba was like a glorified village.


The former Governorship Candidate of Action Alliance AA and Labour Party Chieftain Onyekwere Akym Uche made the revelation in his Abroad office Wednesday, during an interview with the Diaspora Media Office anchor, Chidinma Ukachi called The Ottified Chat.


He stated that " Aba, the commercial hub city of South East and Abia was like a glorified village over the years but today, he (Otti) has brought so many things including the total bulldozer and reconstruction of Aba portharcourt road that has long ago, abandoned  and other  various amenities that anybody that come into Aba or Southeast would like to visit".


Buttressing his point, he pointed out that the project was the main problem the people of Aba and enviro withnes during raining season due to the dilapidated state of the road there by making life miserable and people who do business along the road to have a nightmares.


"Good roads and enabling environment are at the core of every city's development. One of Governor's cardinal promises was to make Aba a destination point and not a departure lounge where people come in and leave almost immediately. Aba will under Otti be liveable and prosperous megacity.


He informed that with the acquisition of the old Aba star paper mill industry by the state government that the youth, graduate students can gain fully employment and will help ease the growth of unemployed youth in the state.


OAU reiterated that Governor Alex Otti was intentional about the development of Aba town through other projects like roads infrastructure, bridges, industries  and other gigantic projects being undertaken in Aba by the Ottified administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti.


While acknowledging that no society is completely free of crimes and criminality, the Abia LP chieftain stated the Aba city was relatively secure compared to a few years ago before the coming of Governor Otti and that the Ottified administration was working to ensure the safety of citizens.
